Alex Castro is one of the famous Bulakeños who made name in the showbiz industry. A Dennis Trillo look-a-like, a protégé of producer Roselle Monteverde-Teo and DMV Entertainment boss Manny Valera, the 22-year-old actor/politician was recently featured in the movie “Manay Po 2″ of Regal Films were he portray the role of John Pratt’s love interest and he was introduced in the movie “My BestFriend’s GirlFriend” with Richard Gutierrez and Marian Rivera also from Regal Films and GMA Films. He’s also busy doing print and commercial modeling… He was seen from a huge billboards and TV commercials such as Globe Telecom, Coca Cola, Banco De Oro and more…

alex2And aside from being an actor and model Alex Castro , at the same time is a public official. A councilor of Municipality of Marilao in the Province of Bulacan. He was a former President of Sangguniang Kabataan of Marilao and active officer member of National Movement of Young Legistrators, Philippine Councilor’s League , NYCCL, Jaycees and Barkadahang Bulakeño.

When this environmental movie entitled: BIAK NA BATO (Split Rock) was offered toalex33 him, we was very happy considering him as one of the lead cast. First, its was an environmental movie with a heart warming and based on the true story… Second, it was a Bulacan movie and he really want to contribute his talent to showcase to everybody how consistent and determined every Bulakeños in saving the most significant and historical place in the Philippine history, the Biak na Bato National Park.

KRISTINE MEI NIETO, speaks on her role as SHIELA on the film BIAK NA BATO (Split Rock)

Kristine Mae Nieto is one of the pride of the Province of Bulacan, kristtinebringing home the award as the 1st runner-up in the recent BE BENCH Model Search. From that time, she was become famous and visible in television programs at kapamilya network (ABS-CBN). Kristtine is now busy preparing for the up coming denim and underwear fashion of BENCH entitled: BLACKOUT and she is currently a contract artist of VIVA FILMS. She’s definitely a Star of Bulacan…

And being the pride of Bulakeños, she is now facing expectations and pressures especially on her up coming Bulacan independent movie entitled: BIAK NA BATO (Split Rock) were she will be portraying the role of SHIELA – a liberated and beautiful daughter of NIEVES (Chin-Chin Gutierrez).

On our interview, we ask her on the reasons accepting this movie?

kristtine21KRISTINE: ” I accept this movie, not just for exposure though I really want to have a movie… Im so happy to be a part of Biak na Bato movie… Gusto ko rin makagawa ng environmental movie to show to the people what are the importance of our environment to us… Instead of taking good care of it, inaabuso ito… I want them to realized what they did to our natural resources…”

Kristtine also told us: “Sobrang saya ko kasi i never ever expected na mangyayari ito. To be one of the lead cast is a big big break in my career… Sobrang thankful ako kay Direk Paolo Buera sa pagpili sken and syempre kay God to let this happen… “

 SYNOPSIS:

                            BIAK NA BATO (Split Rock) is a heart warming and inspiring story of a heroic return of NIEVES, to face the pain of stunted love and gloomy incident eighteen years ago and determined to battle against the prominent and very influential mining  operator in Biak na Bato. Her mission is to instigate & encourage people to join in her crusade to save Biak na Bato, aiming to give awareness to the community on the importance of mother nature and how mining activities have led to the desecration of a historical shrine . 

                           An environmental digital film based on the  true story of saving the precious piece of our cultural & historical heritage, test of determination, advocacy, perseverance, wrath, vengeance, patriotic and victory.
